Sponsoring

We are aware that we have a role to play in the social environment of which we are part. That is why we use sponsoring as a means of showing our commitment to society. All our sponsor activities are carefully selected. We sponsor activities in the fields of art, American culture, literature and charity.

Mauritshuis, The Hague
In 2003, NIBC entered into a partnership with the Mauritshuis, one of the most prestigious museums in the Netherlands. The Mauritshuis collection offers a dazzling survey of Dutch and Flemish art from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. The core of the collection consists of masterpieces from the seventeenth century, Holland's Golden Age. As part of this co-operation, NIBC was the main sponsor for the successful Albert Eckhout exhibition in 2004 and the Frans van Mieris exhibition in 2005. We are now sponsoring the restoration of the Rembrandt van Rijn masterpiece “Saul and David”.

Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam
In 2006, NIBC became a Friend of the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is an extremely varied museum whose galleries take visitors on a journey through the history of art, from the Middle Ages to the present day.

John Adams Institute, Amsterdam
The John Adams Institute is an independent, non-profit foundation dedicated to furthering a long-standing tradition: cultural exchange between the USA and the Netherlands. Founded in 1987, the John Adams Institute continues to expose the best and brightest American writers and thinkers to audiences in Amsterdam and The Hague.

Ronald McDonald House, The Hague
This charity offers a home "far away from home" to parents with children who are seriously ill. For some years now NIBC has decided not to send Christmas cards, but donate an amount of money to charity. In 2004, 2005 and 2006, the charity chosen was the Ronald McDonald House in The Hague.
