The members of the Managing Board are collectively responsible for the performance of the company.
Jeroen Drost, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer
Jeroen Drost is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NIBC Bank N.V. since May 2008. From 1986 to 2008, he held several positions at ABN AMRO. His latest position was Chief Executive Officer Asia, which spans over 17 countries. Jeroen has extensive experience in investment banking in the Netherlands, London, Central & Eastern Europe and Asia. Jeroen Drost holds a degree in Business Economics and Dutch law from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
Kees van Dijkhuizen, Vice-chairman, Chief Financial Officer, Head of Corporate Center
Kees van Dijkhuizen is Chief Financial Officer of NIBC Bank N.V. since December 2005 and Vice-chairman since September 2009. Prior to that, he worked at the Ministries of Finance and Economic Affairs where he most recently held the position of General Treasurer. Before then he was the Ministries’ Director General of the Budget. Kees van Dijkhuizen holds a Master Degree in Economics from the Free University of Amsterdam.
Rob ten Heggeler, Head of Merchant Banking
Rob ten Heggeler is Head of Merchant Banking since 17 August 2009. From 1989 to 2001, Rob held several positions at ABN AMRO in the Netherlands, Eastern Europe, Asia and the United States, among others in Corporate Advisory and Debt Structuring. In 2001 he joined the Executive Board of Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V. where he was responsible for Commercial and Retail Banking in the Netherlands and was appointed Global CEO of Fortis Private Banking in 2005. In 2006, Rob was appointed member of the Managing Board of Rabobank International where he was responsible for Wholesale banking in the Netherlands. Rob ten Heggeler holds Tax law and Business law degrees from the University of Groningen.
Jeroen van Hessen, Head of Specialised Finance & Treasury
Jeroen van Hessen is Head of Specialised Finance & Treasury since September 2009. From 1999 to 2009 he held several senior management positions within NIBC, among others in Structured Finance, Real Estate Markets and as country manager Germany. Jeroen became Managing Director of NIBC in 2004. Prior to NIBC he worked for Bank Labouchere where he set up the M&A advisory team and arranged the first Dutch Asset Backed Securities. His experience also includes corporate strategy development and strategic advisory at AEGON and the Boston Consulting Group. Jeroen van Hessen holds a degree in Macro Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and Dutch law from the University of Amsterdam.
Jan Sijbrand, Chief Risk Officer, Head of Risk Management
Jan Sijbrand is Chief Risk Officer of NIBC Bank N.V. since March 2008. Jan has extensive experience in both trading and risk management gained during his career with Shell, Rabobank and ABN AMRO. At ABN AMRO he was responsible, inter alia, for all market, credit and operational risk in the bank and was, in that capacity, co-chair of the Group Risk Committee. Jan Sijbrand holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Utrecht.
