Infrastructure Funds

NIBC Infrastructure Partners is responsible for the investments in infrastructure projects on behalf of the NIBC European Infrastructure Fund I.

Since 1999, the NIBC team has successfully reached financial close on over 50 infrastructure projects with a capital value exceeding EUR 14 billion as lead arranger or equity partner.  This expertise and experience is now directed towards delivering optimal performance for investors through the NIBC European Infrastructure Fund I. Team members are strategically located in London, The Hague and Frankfurt to take advantage of existing local knowledge and multi-lingual capabilities. The Fund is supported by the NIBC organisation, which comprises of professionals in client sector coverage, risk management, financial advisory, tax, accounting and legal services.

NIBC European Infrastructure Fund 1
The NIBC European Infrastructure Fund is managed by NIBC Infrastructure Partners. NIBC's first managed fund, the EUR 347m NIBC European Infrastructure Fund I, was established in May 2007. The Fund has been closed the third quarter of 2008.
The Fund invests in PPP, Projects and Corporate transactions in the following core sectors: Accomodation & Social Infrastructure, Transport Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, and Oil & Gas Storage & Distribution. 
Core investors in the Fund include pension funds and NIBC Bank, plus other institutional investors.
Notable acquisitions in 2008 include a large stake in Welcome Break, a leading UK mortorway services operator, and in SAV, the market leading hazardous waste treatment company in Germany.
