Jan Sijbrand to leave NIBC for Dutch Central Bank

The Dutch Cabinet has decided to propose Jan Sijbrand, Chief Risk Officer of NIBC Holding N.V. and NIBC Bank N.V. for appointment to the Crown as executive director of the Governing Board of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) as per 1 July 2011. Jan is to head the Banking Supervision division at DNB.

Jan joined NIBC in February 2008 as Chief Risk Officer. Under his leadership, enormous improvements have been to the management and staffing of the Risk Management department. Details of Jan's succession will follow in due course.
