Herman Dijkhuizen is the chief financial officer of the Managing Board since 2013 and vice-chairman of the Managing Board since 2017. Mr Dijkhuizen worked at KPMG in the Netherlands from 1979 until 2013 in various roles including as a partner of KPMG between 1994 and 2013, being a member of KPMG’s managing board from 2006 to 2012 and as the chairman of the audit committee institute of KPMG between 2012 and 2013. During his more than 30 years at KPMG, he served numerous clients, particularly in the financial services sector. Mr Dijkhuizen’s international experience at KPMG includes operating as an expatriate partner in Germany and leading a number of large international engagements as an auditor and advisor. In addition to his role as chief financial officer of the Company, as a member of the Nationaal Comite 4 en 5 Mei, member of the Supervisory Board and chairman of the Finance Committee of WWF Nederland and as member of the supervisory board and member of the Risk and Audit committee of Nationale Spoorwegen.
In the past, Mr Dijkhuizen has also been a member of the boards and committees of several organisations including Stichting Steun Emma (2013 - 2017), Talent Naar De Top (2013 - 2015) and Enactus (2009 - 2012) and as chairman of the supervisory board of UNICEF the Netherlands (2009 – 2019) and vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of the VU Foundation (2013-02/2021).
