Spicy acquisition by Intertaste in Belgium

Intertaste, the Dutch “taste expert”, has acquired the Belgian herbs, spices, dried vegetables and seasonings business from Caldic. The transaction perfectly fits Intertaste’s portfolio of in-house processed high quality and purity ingredients. Further, the acquisition has strengthened Intertaste’s position in the Belgian, French and Dutch food markets. NIBC M&A acted as advisor to Intertaste.

NIBC has strong ties with the herbs and spices industry with ongoing strategic dialogue with a number of European herbs & spices players. For this reason, NIBC was familiar with the growth ambitions of Intertaste and jointly considered a number of acquisition opportunities. The transaction was initiated by NIBC who acted as financial advisor to Intertaste.
