NIBC Investment Partners invests in Vadeko's growth strategy

Corporate News -

NIBC Investment Partners is facilitating Vadeko's ambitious growth strategy by taking a minority stake of 40 percent in the prefab timber frame manufacturer. The growth capital will be used to invest in expanding the production capacity and further automating the production process in order to be able to serve the growing number of clients optimally and with the highest quality products in the future as well.

Vadeko specialises in the design, production, transport and assembly of sustainable and cost-efficient prefabricated timber frame constructions with a complete product range from roof elements to complete cascoes for homes. The company has been led by entrepreneurs Mark Timmer and Wiebe Postma since 2015. The entrepreneurs remain at the helm to develop the growth plans together with the current employees. Investments will be made in the coming year in the expansion of buildings and an additional production line with the emphasis on façade elements.

The wood frame construction market is expected to continue to develop strongly. The use of prefabricated timber frame construction elements is increasing due to the higher construction speeds that can be achieved and stricter environmental requirements from the government. Building with wood provides with its sustainable properties such as renewability, good insulation values and a less environmentally damaging production process for CO2 reduction.

"Vadeko is well positioned for further expansion. With the minority interest NIBC is investing in a sustainable entrepreneurial growth company. NIBC will support the management in the realisation of further growth, which will allow Vadeko to strengthen its position in the construction sector in the years to come. Brigitte van der Maarel, Managing Director NIBC Investment Partners, said.
