Imagine is an innovative Irish company that provides broadband to underserved rural areas in Ireland. Imagine makes use of fibre to the tower and a dedicated and fixed wireless spectrum connection from the tower to the home (as opposed to Fibre to the Home). This allows it to cost effectively provide its customers with this critical service. Even more critical following COVID-19.
Assignment
NIBC was approached by the company given our sector expertise in digital infrastructure. They were looking for a debt financing solution fit for purpose.
How did we add value?
Having financed many broadband fibre network companies across Europe NIBC was able to draw on this experience to design a flexible finance structure complementing their need to be agile and their ambition to grow the company.
Delivering results
We reached financial close on the transaction in 2019 and today Imagine are continuing to expand, offering this essential service to rural Ireland.
