NIBC promotes 3 commercial executives in newly formed Executive CommitteePress Release -
NIBC will promote Saskia Hovers, Michel Kant and Caroline Oosterbaan to executive commercial roles for Corporate Banking Sectors, Retail Banking and Corporate Banking Products. As of 1 January 2017 they will become members of a newly formed Executive Committee. With these new appointments, NIBC further strengthens its client focus which is a pivotal element of its strategy.
NIBC amends its top structure safeguarding and strengthening the commercial and client facing roles at executive level following the decision of Rob ten Heggeler to pursue opportunities outside the bank. Next to the three new appointees the Executive Committee will consist of the current MB-members, being Paulus de Wilt (CEO), Herman Dijkhuizen (CFO/ COO) and Reinout van Riel (CRO).
Saskia joined NIBC in 2001 and assumed responsibility for the Corporate Sectors after having been responsible for the Asset & Project Finance franchise. She has also led the sectors Oil & Gas and Shipping at NIBC. Before starting with NIBC, Saskia worked at MeesPierson and Fortis in a variety of roles.
Michel joined NIBC in 2001 and acted in various Corporate Banking roles in The Hague and London. In 2008, Michel assumed the responsibility of launching a savings initiative currently known as NIBC Direct. Under his management, NIBC Direct developed retail savings and residential mortgages with a focus on niche products, such as the recent launch of buy-to let (BTL) mortgages.
Currently, Caroline is responsible for the Corporate Banking Productteams within NIBC. Caroline joined NIBC in 2013 as Head of M&A. Subsequently, she assumed responsibility for NIBC’s Corporate Client teams. Caroline’s background is in M&A, strategy consulting and entrepreneurship.
